About the Library
![]() ![]() The Beacon College Learning Resource Center (LRC) provides access to the Library, the Writing Center, and Academic Mentoring Offices. The fundamental purpose of the Library is to support the educational efforts of all users. We look forward to working with you to ensure that every visit you make to the Library is a positive experience. Currently, the Library's collection includes over 23,000 volumes, 38,000 electronic book titles, 100 periodicals in print, 65 full-text databases, 1000 audio-visual materials, and over 600 items in its specialized Learning Disabilities Collection. The collection is curriculum based and supports students and faculty in their research efforts. Supplemental materials can be requested through interlibrary loan or acquired through the College's cooperative agreements with local libraries. The LRC offers wireless internet access, as well as networked computers, for ease of student and faculty research. Accessing the internet in the LRC constitutes acceptance of, and agreement to abide by the Beacon College Internet and Acceptable Use Guidelines that are posted in the LRC and are also provided in college handbooks.
