Co-Curricular Activities and Events
 
From orientation through final exams, Student Services plans numerous exciting and entertaining activities and events where students explore, create, laugh, relax, and socialize. Whether you are interested in nature and outdoor adventure, cultural activities, or sporting events, there is something for everyone! Out of the classroom experiences are invaluable in the personal development of the well-rounded Beacon College student. Activities include involvement in global/cultural awareness activities, social outings, health and wellness programs, leadership education, and community service. The college hosts a variety of on and off campus activities that regularly include outdoor/nature experiences, sporting events, cultural/ethnic festivals, musical and arts entertainment and appreciation, relationship and leadership building, health education and fitness programs. 
The Chart Your Course co-curricular transcript program is a self-reporting record that reflects your out-of-classroom experiences. It includes social activities, health and wellness programs, leadership achievements and community service. A co-curricular transcript is a positive complement to a resume and academic transcript as part of your job or graduate school application. The Beacon Activities Council along with the support and advisement of the Coordinator of Student Activities plan, schedule, and carry out college-sponsored co-curricular activities. The Activities Calendar is updated regularly and is available online. Dates and descriptions of each event are available on the calendar and on event flyers posted on campus. Some activities, such as theme park outings, water parks, or other special events, may require students to pre-pay for a portion or full price for tickets. Instructions are listed on the activities calendar and on event flyers. Students should sign up for each activity within the prescribed period and may do so in Student Services or on the bulletin board in the Stoer Dining Hall.
