Positions currently open are listed below: Job Title: Library Director Qualifications for Appointment: Three years of library leadership experience in a supervisory position (preferably in an academic setting). Knowledge of all aspects of library operations including technology. Awareness of current trends in libraries, higher education, and the field of learning disabilities. Interest in and personal capacity to work effectively with students with learning disabilities and ADHD. Familiarity with copyright law and licensing issues. Strong written and oral communication skills and work ethic. Commitment to collegiality and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to promote a library atmosphere conducive to study, research, and reading. Experience in researching, writing, submitting, and administering grant proposals for library activities. Ability to handle situations that require diplomacy and confidentiality, work under pressure, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, and be flexible and adapt to change. Examples of Duties: 1.
