Organizations and Clubs

Student-led clubs and organizations complement the academic experience at Beacon College. Students build their campus community, explore new ideas and interests, build friendships, develop communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. The wide variety of clubs range from academic, cultural, service oriented, religious based as well as special interests and hobbies. Students are invited to create new clubs and organizations based on the unique and changing interests of the student body.

Organizations
Student Government Association - A campus organization dedicated to improving student life and campus involvement through student-led initiatives.

Gamma Beta Phi Society - An honor and service organization.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Phi Beta Lambda - A non-profit educational association of students preparing for careers in business.

Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) - An Information Technology professional organization for providing leadership opportunities, professional and personal growth.

Beacon College Chronicle Newspaper - An organization dedicated to covering on-campus events and offering an avenue for students to contribute to the campus dialog.

Pride Alliance - This student run organization strives to educate and promote acceptance for sexual diversity among students. Monthly meetings are open to all students who want to support their GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) friends, or who have GLBTQ family members.

Greek Organizations - Student run organizations dedicated to brotherhood/sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

Clubs


Art Club - A club dedicated to individual artistic expression; a self directed art outlet with input and assistance from sponsor.

Book Club - A group dedicated to reading, reviewing and discussing books of interest to the group.

Poet & Writers Club - A club dedicated to expressing oneself through poetry (original works and works of others), writings, and pictures.

Green Club - A club dedicated to protecting our natural resources and promoting the practices of reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Tennis Club - A club dedicated to participation in recreational tennis.

Adventure Club - An interest-based club where students participate in activities that inspire recreational adventure. Organized activities include: horseback riding, snorkeling, artifact digs, and boat rides.

Chess Club - A club dedicated to developing and honing skills in the game of chess. Activities include on-campus matches between club members with oversight and input from club sponsor.

Theatre Goers' Club - A club that gives students the opportunity to experience local theater productions on a monthly basis.

Performance Club - A club dedicated to showcasing student talent in many forms including song and dance.

Actors Club – A club dedicated to all aspects of theatre, from acting, to lighting, to directing.

Foreign Cultures Club - A club dedicated to developing an insight to other countries customs and culture.

Ghost Busta’s Ghost Hunters Club - A club dedicated to investigating aspects of the paranormal.

Club 360 - A co-ed friends club.
