If it weren't for Beacon College I would not be where I am. Beacon prepared me for the real world. My classes even helped prepare me for starting my own business. I also developed some tremendous friendships and am proud that I completed my degree program.

I made lifelong friends at Beacon. The one-on-one approach from the staff and professors along with a great teacher to student ratio helped me academically. I was encouraged to do my best, and now I am continuing my education in a masters program.

I met a lot of good people at Beacon. We grew very close and I really miss having my friends nearby. I miss and appreciate the faculty and the Beacon community. My experience at Beacon really prepared me for the work environment.

I really enjoyed the staff and faculty. I am also very proud of the fact that I earned a bachelors degree. The faculty pushed me to do my best and that has helped me to be successful outside of the classroom and in my work.

Blagden Meyer
Graduate 2007, Texas Polo
My first impression was that the students were very friendly. The faculty was always willing to help. I also learned to manage my time better and get assignments done on schedule. This has helped me prepare for the work world and career.

Melissa Robinson Graduate 2008, Attending Graduate School
I feel that Beacon College has better prepared me for the outside world. I now have the skills and confidence to be successful in life after college. I have made some wonderful friends here and have had the opportunity to be involved with a number of different clubs and organizations. This involvement has helped develop my leadership skills. I learned that you can achieve your goal if you don't give up. I am proud of the fact that I am graduating and have been accepted into the Special Education Masters Program at the University of North Florida.

The ability to interact with the faculty, staff and administration has developed opportunities for personal growth most notably in communication. This interaction also helped me to overcome my shyness and develop into a campus leader. This would not have happened without the Beacon College community encouraging me to do more.

I appreciate the staff's motivation and drive to help me be successful. I have developed the tools and skills to be successful in the job market or in furthering my education. The Beacon Homecoming Gala and trips to Disney were some of my favorite activities. Most of all, I really enjoyed the studies abroad program. My trip to Italy was one of my most memorable experiences.

Chris Zofrea
Through the opportunities at Beacon College, I have been given the chance to fill leadership roles and gain important experience. I really enjoy Bikefest each year and like being able to help out the college as well. The ability to be involved in the fraternity and student life as well as working with the college's reaffirmation process through our QEP (Quality Enhancement Program) are opportunities that are hard to match at other institutions.

Mike Catlow
I am a 24 year old sophomore at Beacon College. I came here after several attempts to succeed at other colleges. I found the students and staff were very welcoming to my needs. Upon completing my first semester, I had come to realize that Beacon College has been the long searched for answer to my learning needs. I have ADD and have found the structure of the classes and the professor's enthusiasm has helped me to learn the course material. In all of my college experiences, I have never felt as comfortable in class (and outside). The Beacon community is very accepting of everyone and helpful to each other. I have noticed a lot of encouragement and assistance. The thing that unites us all, is that we have been blessed with the ability to learn. We also have identified the best way for each of us to learn. This encouragement ensures the success of our fellow students who are here because they want to learn.
