About Samantha Owens

Samantha Owens serves as a Learning Specialist at Beacon College. Additionally, she servers as an adjunct instructor and the coordinator for the first-year experience course, Beacon Experience. Before coming to Beacon, Owens taught K through 12th grade in both private and public schools, with the majority of her experience in exceptional student education. Outside of teaching, she has experience in creating, implementing, and supervising hands-on programs, including educational summer programs and monthly STEM events for individuals with autism aged 3-21 and their siblings. She has also served as a leader for an instructional program for K through 12th-grade students with autism, monitoring school policies and safety protocols, providing academic guidance and support to teachers and paraprofessionals, and ensuring high standards of instructional service.
