The Fitness Attendant will serve as manager of the Fitness Center during non-normal business hours.

Position Overview:
The Fitness Attendant will serve as manager of the Fitness Center while open during non-normal business hours.
Primary Functions:
This position will be the first person to respond to an emergency in building and greet patrons as they enter.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet patrons and provide presence at front desk to allow students to sign in
- Report any issues with equipment and patrons to a professional staff member
- Walk around building making sure patrons and equipment are good for use
- Contact campus safety to either open or close the building at beginning/end of shift
- Periodically wipe down equipment
- Facilitate reasonable needs of patrons as necessary
- Provide essential support for special events including home basketball games, festivals, and student versus faculty/staff games.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Have a passion for fitness, healthy living, and/or sports
- The ability to follow directions with minimal supervision and direction
- Have strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- A willingness to improve skills and learn from the experience
- A willingness to work with anyone, especially your co-worker
