About Jennifer Castilloveitia

Jennifer Castilloveitia is a licensed occupational therapist at Beacon College in Leesburg, Florida. She has more than 10 years of occupational therapy experience working with adults and pediatrics in outpatient rehabilitation clinics, medical occupational therapy for a UCP Charter School, and then Beacon College.

Castilloveitia recently led the design of Beacon’s new sensory room that is housed in the counseling center. Additionally, she developed a temporary Zen Den at Beacon’s career fair, allowing students a safe space to deescalate in the midst of the 250+ attendees.

At Beacon, she conducts weekly workshops, such as Sensory Sports, encouraging students to find outlets for their mind and body where they can identify and deescalate from that may not otherwise be available. Continued sensory support is being pursued by the College to assist with neurodiverse populations learning and living experiences.
