About Julie Dunlap

Julie Dunlap, a Learning Specialist at Beacon College, brings a wealth of experience in education. With 22 years as a speech-language pathology in Virginia’s public schools, Dunlap has provided therapy and support to children and young adults with speech and language delays. She has addressed issues such as voice, fluency, alternative/augmentative communication, pragmatic (social skills) language, auditory comprehension, receptive and expressive language skills, and articulation skills.

In addition to her work in speech-language pathology, she has helped organize multiple Autism Walks and coached Special Olympics basketball and track and field. Dunlap is passionate about helping students find their strengths and realize their potential, in addition to breaking down barriers with social skills, and finding balance with meditation.
